I finished one of the 5 quilts I basted last week. This top was made by Sara and she will be gifting it to her son. She told me to do what ever I thought would look good on the quilt, so I choose to do an all over blowing pampas grass design. I had a hard time finding a stencil that had a bigger version of grass, most were 1.5 to 2 inches, but I really wanted a larger size to go with the large blocks, so I ended up making my own stencil out of poster board.

I love the look of this quilt, the quilting is a clever idea. I love it when quilting really fits a quilt, especially in theme. I really enjoy your blog :-) I just added it to my reading list on the side of my blog so I'll be visiting again soon :-)
